I am a relative newcomer to Hexus and have been impressed with the advice and general level of knowledge being thrown around. A lot of you seem to have some very quick pieces of hardware out there.

However, I am a little dissapointed at the dismal showing of Hexus members on the Team Hexus Seti group:

Hexus peeps are split across other distributed computing projects aswell, remember.

Sorry, but I don't search for aliens no longer. I go and Fold instead. If you want, for reference, a frame for any 50-pointer protein it takes me about 8.30mins or less when I leave my computer to Fold only.

That's at 2.4Ghz (200*12, 5-2-2-2.5 timings). Currently trying to 'cure-in' AS5.

Pretty much had to stop doing this for the other team due to one, noise and heat from the main machine being on, 2 un-needed extra heat from the server that was folding, and thirdly, it makes the laptop noisy and requires it being on meaning it takes longer to charge. Basically it is extra work and annoyances I don't need.

Though I can see places that could easily do it without side affects.
