Oh and you'll need to throw a Hard drie in there aswell! (Unless your moving it across? You'll have problems with a new motherboard meaning a re-format anyway.)

Undoubtedly the Volcano 11/12, £15-16 from either Dabs or CPUcity IIRC. For the PSU brand makes all the diff, look to the usual Antec (CWT @ Scan?), Enermax, ThermalTake, ToPower, S.Flower (TTGI) or Sparkle. A good brand 300W should be okay, 350-400W is the best idea. Your case is unlikely to have sufficient airflow and ventilation so consider that too. Nice selection of parts, I'd take TwinMOS over Corsair, it's way overpriced!

dont by ram buy brand, buy it by chips. winbond and samsung are the best imo, although my recent purchase including m.tech chips is good (as opposed to the pc100 128mb stick i got that dieed half a year ago - caused a lot of annoying crashes before i found memtest86 and quickly removed the offending stick!)

    pc2700 samsung chips are good:
    the CLT's should reach ddr440+
    DLT's only reach about ddr410
    my m.tech pc3200 stick reaches ddr440+ aswell
my nf7-s rev1.1 dont go past ddr440 atm

(that corsair youve got listed is about 3x more than my 256mb pc3200 m.tech cost [from tekheads - twinmoss luckydip])

mike_w what are your prefs and budget for a case, in terms of noise reduction and even colour? You could buy an Antec case as they should come with an Antec PSU which means you won't need to buy a seperate PSU. Antec do some very good cases for £60-80, some with Antec 350W PSUs and 120mm fans (quiet and lots of airflow). If you want to save some cash look at local shops for something with good ventilation and fan mounts, ideally you want to take air form the bottom front and have an exhaust fan near the CPU on the back of the case.
