any idea on the lenghts of the cables ?
where can i get a cheap one? never had any probs with surges or spikes, though a few of my pcs have surge supressors my main 2 dont...PriestJN - Always, always have your computer plugged into a surge supressor. I wouldn't dream of running a computer without one. Especially since I blew 5 light bulbs this week, and have seen a computer get killed by a spike (back when I was in a university hall - very dodgy power in those).
few days ago the power went off twice for about 1/5 of a second, the first time i was afk and my pc black screened and was bleeping, but i reset it and it was fine..
Surge supressor ? I assume that is to stop large surges in the first place ? But you can get Surge protectors from Belkin which will sacrifice them selves if needed, and whats great is they come with £1000's of insurance to cover any items attached to them if damaged.
