    Whats the hold-up on RD580 boards?

    I have been checking many sites on a daily basis for a while and none even seem to be giving an expected due date for the 2 new RD580 boards which have been previewed for a while now (Sapphire and DFI).

    Has anyone heard any info about them? Any issues holding them up?

    Although now not convinced about the Sapphire /sigh

    It really does have the SB450 south bridge and only 2 PCI slots /cry

    actually it only has 1 pci slot and 1 pci-e slot. And the pci slot worhtless as it next to the master crossfire slot, i.e. rendered useless by the graphics card which you have to have in there...


    the sb450 southbridge might not be a problem, as there is an extra SATA2 controller and the usb performance although subpar in most real world apps doesnt affect performance.

    looks cool though...

    much prefer tha ATi Manta reference's dark blue pcb myself.

    chew* at Xtremesystems seems to be rather keen on the Manta

    AT8 is probably the best RD480 board so we'll see about AT8 32X

    Aww noo, I wanted to try a Sapphire board, but also wanted to get my mits on an X-Fi card.. looks like thats out of the question then?
