What can I do, with removing the disk I still get it, even with the only other drive being my hard drive, which is blank?

haven't left a disk in your floppy?
didnt have a floppy drive attatched - ive sorted it now tho, problem was althought id turned off the floppy boot in the bios, cause i didnt have a floppy drive present, i didnt select it not to search for a floppy, which for no reason caused it to stall, seems to hve worked ok now tho ta :)
got a new problem tho :( lol installed win xp sp2 and it comes up with the login page with the default 'administatro' and default blank password field, pressing enter, or escape doesnt work, and i didnt set a password when i installed it? :S
Did you use a slip-streamed disk ?
Yup, is there a differnce?
If you didnt set it to auto-login then you probably set one on the slipstreamed disk.
It will be in WINNT.SIF, on your x:/i386 under the [GuiUnattended] heading.
The string you want is "AdminPassword"
If no password is set, it will be "AdminPassword = *", otherwise your password will be there :)
Cant find guiunattended, closest I have is guitrn and guitrn_a - both of which are unreadable in notepad
Do you mean on the hard drive or the CD rom? Im trying to CD rom as I cant get onto the hdd, unless I put it in my other PC which is hassle but Ill do it if itll work
cheers anyhoo :)
It should be in the CD.
Try unattended.txt - although you should be using the .SIF method.
No swafe, just realise what you said. Read my post you wally ;)
Open WINNT.SIF, the heading will be in there :)
hah... just found it :) cheers agent, i must have missed out the winnt.sif part :(
