Are they plugged in to 3 pin headers on the mobo, or into 4 pin molexes?
And welcome, by the way!
If they're into the mobo, try SpeedFan (google for it).

yeah i think it depends on your mobo,, i have mine in the 3 pins but the mobo doesnt allow you to change the speeds with any software,, i either have to get a hardware fan controller or live with the noise
i prefer an actual fan controller on my rig, alot easier to control when ur gaming and need to whack the power up

depends on the fan controller - some of the ones with LCD displays do tend to have more wires especially if they temp sensors as well, i just bought an Akasa fan controller Jr

the sunbeam fan controller is superb, i have one. No frills just a good quality fan contoller, 4 knobs (0-12v) and 4 led's (red= under 7v, blue =over 7v).
Clearance needed ~ 1.5cm, fits behind my chieftec dragons door no probs.
I think Kustom pc's stock it.
I have the enermax ultimate one, its fab. Its not tomessy on the wire front and it includes pass throughs. I can now control all the fans in my case and get very accurate temp readings from four different places. It also gives you the rpm. You can set it to alarm at three different temp thresholds and the rheostats give you a massive range of fan speeds. The big sleeing point for me was that the knovs aren't massive so they happily fit behind my case door.
