    is a 9800 se aiw 1.5v or 3.3v agp?

    im gonna stick my olde aiw 9800 se into my new 939 dual sata(pcie and agp) asrock mobo, but is says that a 3.3v agp card could damage mobo? so im hesitant to attach the power lead to the end of the 9800 anyone shed any light on this plz . thnx

    It should be a 1.5v part. 3.3v AGP is basically seriously old kit; have a look HERE, though, for ATI's AGP quick reference sheet.

    edit: Bum, they don't let you link directly to it - it's under the Knowledgebase, Product Information, article 737-18872: ATI AGP Graphics Cards - AGP Compliance Details.

    everything thats agp 4/8x compatible is 1.5v, its only the older cards (agp 1/2x) that were 3.3v

    So your AGP 9800 will be 1.5v (even my Radeon 7500 is 1.5v )

    Just to confirm I bought one of these for my brother 18 months ago. It was a 8xAGP 1.5v.

    Like someone confirmed b4 the 3.3v cards are really old - ie. ATI Rage3d, Matrox Millenium or Nvidia TNT2.

    All the 9800 Series were at least AGP4x or better
