Akasa Evo 33 Installation!

What the hell is up with it? I read the custom PC review and they said: "It just screws straight on"...erm, no it doesn't - or does it. It has a backplate but do you have to use it? Can't I just screw it on? I'm so annoyed because I've just ripped every cable etc out of my pc as it wouldn't boot to find i just needed to remove and re-attach my PCI-E power cable - so I really CANNOT be ***** with removing my whole motherboard

Get the Freezer 64 Pro, it just clips on. And is a much much better cooler than the EVO 33.

the evo 33 you do need to use the back plate for the attachment of the cooler.

it works wonders (fantasmically well) and you wont find the cooler falling off any time soon

edit i disagree with noni saying the arctic cooler is a MUCH better cooler; they are about the same, plus with two silent fans on the evo there is no stopping it! my 2.5ghz venice 3000+ is kept below 38degrees

Evo 33 ftw, it is a pain to remove all the stuff, but the cooling is good, it doesn't fall off (just driven down to i27 with it on, in the boot of my car lol) and even with the heat there is here, it's keeping my x2 3800 @ 2.6GHz under 45 degrees when gaming

Make sure you use the backplate
Not doing so can cause damage to your mobo / CPU.
