Good home for an X2 rig

Hi guys

Looking at putting together an X2 system in the near future and am in the process of shortlisting cases.

As this will be my main rig I want a case that looks good but also has good cooling options.
Good cooling is essential as the rig will be overclocked and folding 24/7.

My (very) shortlist at the moment is:

Antec P180
Silverstone TJ06
Original stacker (maybe overkill as won't be many components installed)

Any views on these cases and any others I should consider?
Would appreciate your feedback.

hello mate the antec p180 recently reviewed in custom pc scored top or second to top in neally all the tests and it looks very slick go for that

Stacker/TJ06 ftw, depends on if youre fussed about quiet or not i suppose, with the right fans you can get good cooling in pretty much any case (delta focused flow fans ftw!) but as a rule the stacker is great, mainly because everythign gets nicely spaced out

Quiet is good............120mm case fans and an XP120 on the cpu.
Compared to my newer builds my old nforce 2 2500+m rig sounds like a hoover.........Smartfan 2 overload

stacker would do that would it not as you can install big fans and have stuff spaced spose as its like the size of one of the petronas towers

sorry to hijack, but how well does the TJ06 perform in cooling? It has no fans at the top to help draw air back over the GFX card, and hot air rises, It seemsl ikely to keep the CPU nice and cool with the tunnel, and BTX stylee, but the GFX card doesn't seem to be helped?

Another vote for the aurora, love mine fantastically cool, the fan arrangement is great, its light and roomy and installation was a breaze. The LED projector thing on the front is also pretty damn nice.

I have the TJ06, it's a great case and is dead quiet but that's becuase I got it pre watercooled by Innovatek.

3rd vote for aurora.

It's a lot less ugly than it looks in pictures (in pics it looks like the bottom bit sticks out, which it doesn't), I think it looks great. It's great quality, it's quiet and easy to work with.

Best case I've ever owned.

If your looking at the Stacker, take a look at the Armour and the Shark

i know its not on your list but the wavemaster is the best case i have ever owned as you can remove neally everything on trasys it looks slick and has good cooling

Don't forget that with any case such as the P180 where the motherboard is installed upside down you can't use a motherboard with a heatpipe for chipset cooling. Rules out motherboards such as the asus a8n-sli premium etc.
