    Crucial Memory: really top blokes

    I ordered some YESTERDAY at 12:53....got email to say it was being sorted.

    Got email this am to say on its way......got it at 11am today

    23 hours.....unreal.

    Cheers Crucial. Quite exceptional.

    So I emailed them to say "thanks" and they replied to that in 10 minutes thanking me.

    Feel good factor does not get better than that.

    What courier did they use? I know everyone slags off RM but I sent a Black Ice Rad over to Ireland, I posted it RMSD on the friday at around 3pm and the bloke got it at 10am Saturday. Thought that was bloody amazing for just over a fiver.

    I have to say every time I've ordered from crucial it's been delivered next day, without a single problem. They offer, IMO one of the finest mail order services, and really are worth a look!

    Heh, I've had stuff arrive from komplett in ~19hrs. Ordered just before 3pm and it arrived just before i left for work at 9am the next morning.

    Ordered something from dabs at 5:30pm on a tuesday and recieved it at 9:30am wednesday morning was suprised at actually how fast it was. A total of 16 hours which is very fast indeed.

    Also ordered from crucial not so long ago for my dads pc, ordered a 256mb stick of pc2700 at 2:50pm and recieved it next morning at 10am which is still brilliant .

    I think the fact that we consider next-day delivery as awesome still shows that Internet shopping has some way to go.

    As far as I can tell, there is absolutely no reason why an e-tailer, if it has the product in stock, cannot dispatch it on the same working day up to 6pm. We should expect to receive our goods the next working day; it shouldn't be a novelty.

    This country, logistically speaking, is tiny. That's all the more reason why next-day delivery should be the norm and not a bonus. It's about time the e-tailers got their collective act together and delivered true service.

    Here in the U.K, we just seem to accept that things take a certain length of time. That's not good enough, frankly.
