    New shuttle not booting?

    Hey,
this is my first post; sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I recently bought a new shuttle, an XPC SN95G5V3.

    Specs:
    AMD Athlon 64 939 3500+ venice
    Asus 6800 AGP
    1 gig ram
    Barracuda 160gig SATA 7200rpm
Own brand floppy (from my PC, so it works)
    Sony dvd drive.

Now the problem is, after all the building, the floppy drive does not seem to be powering up.

The harddrive and DVD drives will power up and spin.

The hard drive is not formatted (brand new)

It is not a power supply (240w) issue as it will not boot even after unplugging the cd drive/harddrive.

We have tried multiple power cables also.

The monitor is not even powering on from standby (no signal)

    Can anyone help?!

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan.

Yeah we've tried all that, it seems to be booting, just not the floppy drive, and it's not connecting to the monitor :/

Have you got speakers plugged in? Sometimes you get audio warnings. I'd not worry about the floppy for now, If there isnt anything, your next option is to start swapping stuff (probably starting with the video card)

One thing to check, is the reset cmos jumper in the correct position? A lot of boards wont do anything if its in the reset position at boot.

We don't know, theres no beeps from the peizo speakers to indicate life, but the HDD is clicking and whirring, and the cd drive moves when you put in a disc. Anything?
