    Combi drive not detecting.

Weird one this. Got a PC in the workshop with a combi drive that's not detecting in his windows XP install. it's got an exclamation point next to it in device manager. Tried a different drive, still the same. Tried adding it as a slave, still not detecting it.

However, it will boot and run quite happily from a boot CD.

    Ideas anyone?

Try flashing firmware? Possible IRQ conflict? (I know you shouldn't get them in XP, but you do...)

Not really any point in flashing the firmware, as i've tried another make and model of drive. I might see if i can sort anything out with the IRQs though, cheers for the suggestion.
