XP Unlocking Kit

Does anyone have experience using one of these kits. The linked reviews look good.

Pretty pointless now-a-days. They were useful in the Pally days (XP1500+ to XP2100+) but they weren't good o/c'ers so largely pointless ... esp now that most mobos can do 333FSB+. I would then give you the usual "ALL TbredB and Barton based CPUs are unlocked" but new batches of the Bartons have been locked and in a different manner than the Pally. It seems no kit will allow you to unlock these new CPUs, not even wire/pin tricks. So that kit is pretty pointless, you caould get hold of household stuff to do it anyway. What are you hoping to unlock?

thanks for the reply. I've setting up an 2500+ this weekend and i've got a feeling the new cpu will be locked. I fitted heatsink and didn't note the full code. I'll just have to wait and see.
