X-FI Music soundcard - worth the upgrade?

I currently have the audigy 2 platinum EX soundcard with the breakout box(not the one in a drivebay, a seperate box with sockets for headphones, line in etc).

I have heard many good things about the X-fi cards - especially what they do to MP3 files(as I listen to a lot of music).

Question is, is it worth the upgrade? Will there be a noticible difference in sound and is there a version of the card I could use my current breakout box with?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Depends. It would be an upgrade, but I don't think you would be able to use your breakout box. If you can sell your A2 Plat, for something decent, then grab the X-Fi then it would be worthwhile IMO.

Your breakout box prolly won't work but if you pick up the Paltinum it should have everything you need, I have the Xtreme Music and yes the stuff it does to MP3s is magical. Superb qualtiy.
