Upped FSB, now monitor "pings"

I've upped my FSB to 200x9.5 now and again after i first switch on, my monitor "pings" like degaz or whatever it's called, once or twice.

Any input??

It's not stright away, just after about 5 mins it does it, then after another 5, at random times really.

my monitor always "pings" on startup. It's meant to.

it says its every five mins, it could be that you only have 256 ram and ur workin it to death. or ur monitor cud be dodgy :/

is it resizing or changing Refresh rate? Maybe its unconnected to the FSB.

Mine resizes on boot up and that makes the monitor ping.

Never had the problem b4 I upped FSB.
Connection to mobo is fine.
It's not resizing or chaging refresh rate, just does the thing when you "degas" monitor.

BUS Lock is where the AGP and PCI busses are locked to there intened frequencys i.e. PCi 33Mhz and AGP 66MHz because on a motherboard without a lock when you up the FSB it raises the PCi and AGP frequencys also depending on what devidor they are working at, I noticed you have an A7N8X-X witch I am pretty sure has a BUS Lock.

It could be that you dont have the BUS Lock enabled in BIOS you may want to check that, try dropping you FSB down by a couple of MHz and see if that fixes the problem, it soundss to me like the BUS lock is not enabled and the AGP slot is forced to work at too high a frequency causing the graphics card to not like that too much and cause errors......

Cheers for that, I've had a look, can't see anything to do with it. With my card/mobo it should be able to hold out though, plus it's stop over the last few reboots/hours.

Erm u better sort this ping thing out, I asume this ping is like when u alter the refresh rate or change resolution?

I remember when my monitor bust, Everytime it "pinged" it took 1 min for the screen to appear.

SOunds like something to do with ur card...r u sure ur monitor can handle it?

my monitor is crap, i have to run it @ 85 hertz otherwise it "shakes"

so if it goes, it goes...
