    Price Check: Athlon 64 3500+

    Hope iv got this in the right forum!

    I'll be upgrading to a dual core processor soon and will have the following for sale:

    AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (Newcastle) socket 939
    - retail version, boxed as new with HSF.

    How much should I roughly expect to get for it?

    We retail them at £136 inc VAT(retail) and £104 inc VAT (oem)....so i rekon about 60 quid should be fair

    the fact that it's a Newcastle kills it or else you would probably be looking at more.

    Only £40? I would have expected almost double that

    I'll try it on ebay then, but im positive I can get much more then £40 for it.

    if u just wack it on ebay half the people bidding wont ask about cores and will assume its a normal one lol you could get 80 on ebay go for it

    I think that you'll get more than £40 on eBay but the people here know that you can buy a 3000+ Venice for £80 & overclock it to 2.6GHz without much hassle & it's got a better memory controller, runs cooler etc.

    Not just yet no, iv put it on 2 forums though at £85 inc and so far been offered £70 collected from one person, and £75 inc del from someone else.
