I've got one. Worth having? Short answer - no.

Only works with IE for websites, so that's no use to me as an Opera user.
Logging into windows - yep does that ok.

Where is the best place to pick one of these up? Any rough ideas on price? I'm sure I saw them in tesco but not that cheaply!

Hah yeh very good point! But a third party extension....obviously not They should make more things compatable with other programs, especially after Apple were so nice as to release Boot Camp!!

What, so a Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse wouldn't work in Firefox? Damn.

What about using that Firefox thing on Microsoft's OS? Does that work? Probably not, what with it being made by Microsoft.

And while we're at it... here's the link for the firefox extension for it: http://redoneill.free.fr/pub/fingerfox.xpi

It's a world of the pedants in here today It doesn't (FYI) work with IE7 atm either, what with it being made by Microsoft..

Good spot for firefox - got one for Opera? I like my browsers slightly less blobby

    Heh. Touche.

I use IE though, so no problems here. Not that I need to use a fingerprint scanner to remember my passwords anyway.

Personally, i'd recommend looking elsewhere for a fingerprint scanner - preferably from a company that updates their drivers or perhaps has open source ones..
Mines sat gathering dust for about six months now - it was fun for five minutes
