Home Cinema System

Hey guys, as christmas draws closer i thought id spend a liddul bit of money and get myself a dvd player.... but then i heard someone on IRC saying they had a little pc that they just stuck under their TV and they played DVD's and DivX on their tv, not a bad idea i thought :) So ive had a look about the web and seen a few items i like, id just like to know if any of you have used these items and can recomend them :)

Case: Venus CP668 Silver Mini Case
Motherboard: Via Epia-M 10000 Nemehiah
Ram: Low Profile 512mb PC2100 DDR
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 80GB
CD-Rom Drive: Pioneer DVD-120S Slot Silver

And just for tidyness, i thought about getting some rounded IDE cables, will These cables be short enough for such a small case?

I think A20BF from maplins is a nicer case tbh. Ive had one on pre-order for nearly a month now though :(:(

Single ended cables ROCK though! It clears so much faf from inside your case just having the connectors you need.

or for £150 you could buy my complete sv25/c3 933/384 meg ram/40gig hdd/completely silent :D

Yea, if its too slow you could always stick a tuli cele in it and stick a 7v papst on it - still uber quiet!

dunno about the space in there mate - you'd have to stick a lowprofile cooler on with a tuli - i got a custom cut pasv heatsink atm
