Is this an isolated occurence with these two downloads?
Could be software...however, a friend of mine had a screwy (technical term :)) Nvidia Ethernet Controller...you might want to try switching to the Marvell controller on your A8N-SLi Deluxe and see if that fixes anything?
its everything tbh, but porn, :P. i just tried downloading limewire and it wudnt let me downlaod java
Try switching Ethernet controllers (I'm assuming this is how you're connected at the moment) and disable Nvidia firewall if you've got it running.
If it's still giving you trouble after that, I'll try and come up with a different lame excuse as to why PC's don't work...ever
Nvidia Network Access Manager caused exactly the same problem when I had it enabled.
u could just pull ur computer down from its high horse, scream "not everything in this world is as corrupt as ur jumper", point ur finger at it then give it a good rollicking, then crack open a few beers and sit with it on the couch watching the football.
lol! ur imagination is impressive :)Quote:

closed Nvidia firewall then tried again it just says some od the instilation files are corrupt, please downlaod a fresh copy and try again! im guna snap
reboot in safe mode and see if u can install it then, if u cant its a hardware issue, if you can its software
As someone above mentioned, try switching ethernet controller - I had problems with the nvidia controller (I have the same board). Use the Marvell Yukon, see if that sorts it.
sound liek a nab but i havent got a clue what a ethernet controller is :(
right click on my computer and click properties, click the hardware tab then device manager check the network adapters icon to open up the submenu and ur ethernet controller will be named in there:)
I've had corrupt file copies over a LAN with some NICs in the past which were resolved by tweaking the advanced properties of the NIC.
Control Panel / Network Connections
Right-click NIC, click Properties
Click Configure
Select Advanced tab
Check in the Property list for the settings (may not be listed exactly as this, as the vendors define the properties in their drivers):
Offload Checksum
Offload TCP_LargeSend
If these are enable, try turning them off one at a time and see if the downloads are still corrupt.
i went where u said komodo and enabled the Marvell Yukon and it stilld eosnt work
i acctuarly give in! i wanna cry!
try switching the default profile in the NAM to not offloadable.
