    Replacement Mobo...

Its looking like im over due a new mobo... [see other thread ([url=http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=75469]linky[/ur])]

I guess socketA boards must be geting fairly hard to find now?
    - Im not overly fussed as long as it works, fairly cheap, lasts be the next year, and has Sata.

Another Abit NF7-S, used, off Ebay?

    What's your budget ?
You could go Socket 939 for around £100.......

If not, then "Yeah" another NF7-S would be fine. Used ? Why not

I was thinking around the £25/30 mark, to last me another year or two, then maybe look at a new PC then.
    - But maybe this it just the perfect excuse to go skt939 as you say.

I knocked up this about 10months ago as my "uni pc" - but then all fell though due to lack of funds (well, i bought a new rc car with the money...)
    Code:
Case	Enermax CS10068 mATX case with std mATX (285w) PSU £58.16
Mobo	Foxconn NF48MA-KS uATX S939 nForce, SATA £52.06
    CPU	AMD Athlon 64 3000 32/64Bit S939 Venice 90nm £82.60
    RAM	1Gb (2x512Mb) Corsair, DDR400/PC3200,CL2.5, £65.33
    HDD	Samsung SpinPoint P SP1614C 160GB SATA 8MB Cache - OEM £58.46
    G Card	256Mb Gigabyte PCI-E GV RX80256D-X800 DDRIII Silent Heatpipe	£124.83
    							Sub Total	£441.44

Cpu cooler Akasa AK-859 Paxpower Pure Copper Heat Sink Fan £21.02
    DVD-RW	NEC ND-3540A 16x DVD±RW DualLayer DVD-Writer, OEM £28.96
FDD	1.44Mb Sony Silver Floppy Disk Drive OEM £4.34
    							Total £495.76
But i guess prices had come down a little since then.

So if i got a Sk939 3000+ Venice for £68 of scan, todayonly, what would i be looking at in terms of a mobo?
    - How avaitable are skt939 boards with a AGP, or do they not exist?

Basicaly, what would be a good mobo to go with a 3000venice, and the rest of my current system (see "my sysstem")

    Thanks

    Yeah, she might do.
    - How hot do the Nforce3 chips get, would it object if i slaped a Zalman passive cooler on it?

Asrock dual sata is the way forward if you want to go s939 and keep your agp card.
