AMD AM2 EE Processors.. Any Thoughts?

Just meaning to reason out the possibilities of these well-binned processors to hit phenomenal speeds under higher volts..

If these chip work at its rated speed under severely undervolted environment, just think how well will it clock with a nice bump in volts? Are we looking at the possibility of 3.4Ghz on air Athlon 64 EE edition? Will this be the next super-venice?

At first I thought you were refering to Extereme Edtion, but I presume you mean Energy Efficient. In that case I have some memories of XP-M drifting in. Proably depends on if its made on a more expensive, and different, manufacuturing process for low power, or if it just binning. I'd guess its just a faster processor undervolted and underclocked and sold at a similar price. All this is just speculation so we'll have to wait for the actural silicon and reviews. Might also be fun to try to make a system that left the fan off in idle. Great for HTPCs.

Would be awfully super if the 3500+ model does 11x300 on stock air.. ok ok.. I'll stop dreaming..

Suppose a Venice 3000+ have stock volts of 1.4V, I managed to get it down to 0.96V. It tops at 2.75Ghz 1.45V. So I would say they'll be good overclocking
