    hardware probs

    2 problems:

    1. got a new dvd player, when i try and play a dvd in wmp its says : wmp is currently not able to play this , bla bla, i go to setting add dvd playing, but still no joy.... any ideas?

    2. also got new ram, when i try to open games ie, bf or dc, its starts to load and the beep, bk to main windows desktop .

    do you have DVD playing software? WMP does not natively support DVD playback.

    Do a google search fro Media player classic to play your DVD.

    Run your memory through memtest.

    Yep you need something like PowerDVD, WinDVD etc to play your DVDs. For the RAM it sound like the stick (or slot) is faulty, your PC (or Win) has probs addressing the amount of memory or you're trying to run the RAM too fast (raw speed or just timings) oe there's another incompatibility (prob mobo vs RAM). Try the new stick in place of the old stick.
