Best air cooler for an AMD64 FX-55

Hi, i was originally going to put water cooling in my new rig, however after setting it up, then taking it out of the rig to test run it i've lost confidence in watercooling. Basically i had an Asetek watercooling kit (with a hydor L30 PUMP) but bought some innovatech kit for it, a controller, a flow sensor, a temperature sensor, and some UV reactive hose (the place i got it from said to use the hose for compatibility with the flow sensor and temp sensor, and also because not supposed to add anything to the water) however the walls of the innovatech hose was slightly thinner than the asetech one, and the way the hoses attach to the asetech components it was leaking at the radiator joints, i replaced it all with the asetech hosing and the leaking seemed to stop, however radiator attaches to the case door and so will constantly be being moved, plus the fact that it takes up a lot of room in the case, and it will only be coolinbg the CPU, i decided that i wanted to go with aircooling instead (i spent about £400 of watercooling stuff though, lol) so i'd like some suggestions on what cooler to get, and where to get it from, the ones ive looked at on scan and overclockers dont look that special and i dont know how good they will be.

Forgot to mention as well, i was wanting a mixture of quietness and performance, although i have 2 7900GTX in SLi, which i have no idea how loud that is going to be, so noise from the cpu fan might not matter that much.

The 7900gtx shouldn't be too loud as their cooler is awesome

Try a Thermaltake Bit Typhoon - great cooler

Zalman's CNPS7000 is very good, I may be coming into a spare one tomorrow, want me to let you know if so?
I'm running an A64 3000+ with my own CNPS7000, and at full load it never gets over 40*c (and that's in a tiny poorly ventilated student room!)

I wouldn't go as far as saying its the best AMD64 cooler out but it certainly is one of the best for the money and quiet.

If you can spend a bit more and it fits in your case, I'd go for the Scythe Ninja. Great cooler, I've got one and don't even need to have the 12cm fan on full blast even when my cpu (Opteron 165@2.7GHz) is at full load.

Zalman CNPS9500LED is pretty awesome when it comes to cooling, it looks great as well, especially if you get the AM2 version (compatible with 939)

    They you go!

Sorry can't say if it'd be a problem or not with your MSI.

I'd imagine the Ninja would be ok...the fins have a pretty high board clearance...
Still if it didn't fit, I imagine Scan would accept it as a return, although don't quote me on that...Distance Seller's Act would apply for a start I think?

There is also the Scythe Mine. A couple of review shows it being pretty close to/better than the Ninja depending on the fan used. By default it comes with 100mm fans, which should fit most mid-towers and a couple of mm shorter than the Ninja.
