    What HD???

I need to buy a new HD to store all my FLAC/MP3 files - as big as possible, I have a Samsung Spinpoint 200GB atm , which is great, but the Western 320GB seems very good value, Just looking for best reliabilty and relativley quiet...........anyone got any feedback on the WD's?????

I've got a couple of 400gig WD Raid Edition drives. they seem pretty good. not as quiet out of the box as the Spinpoints, but there is an applet from WD that lets you choose between speed and noise. not tried it yet though.

i would recomend any seagate barricuda's espically the 320Gb 7200.10 which is sata 2 and stores data bits virtically.

seagate are the only hard drive company that use FDB (fluid dynamic bearings) which make them extremely quiet whilst idle or under load (disk spin up)

they are also backed with a nice 5 year Guaranty

This isn't the case any more. Most drives for the past couple have years have used FDB, including the new Raptors.
