High Bandwidth vs Low Timings?

I've been looking for an answer for a good while now but no-one seems to really know, so it's over to you lot.

Depends on whether you are compiling code or crunching audio/video?

Also there is only point to high bandwidth if you are fsb overclocking.

Well i suppose except from having CPU like the FX you gotta do FSB overclocking, no?

You could do some practical tests on both and answer the question yourself? Probably the best way to get a definate answer

Some apps prefer high bandwidth, some low latency.

Think you'll find the reason no one really knows is it really does make very little difference at the end of the day, except for a few points here or there in a few benchmarks. I went for low latency on my Intel system, then moved the ram to my AMD system - having a little more flexibility with the fsb would of been nice, but nothing you can't work with.

Ah wait it's okay anyway, I had it in my head I was using the second divider and that I could use the first, loosen the timings and so then run at higher memory bandwidth but I'm on the first anyway, silly meee!
