    Reliable and stable mobo

I'm looking at getting a 64-bit processor as my Athlon XP is getting a bit old now... I know basically what I want for the processor, but for the mobo I'm just not sure at all..

I'm wanting something reliable, and stable. For a socket 939 AMD 64 bit processor.

I'm thinking possibly MSI? (the current board I have now is MSI and has served me VERY well). I'm not too bothered about overclock-ability, just stabability.

Budget is approx £60, I'll probably try and get something second hand too as I don't have a lot of money to throw around.

    Thanks

@Max Tractor: AGP, will look into epox mobo's.

@jack~: MSI are very very very good (and I recommend them), they have a good repuation too. They can overclock, but aren't the best at doing it... they are better known for stabability.

Edit: Well this looks OK, seems good for the price, but I'm just not sure as the price is so cheap I'm wondering if the quality is cheap too?

EPoX EP-9NDA3i £40 new from komplett

I have ran various Epox boards, they offer outstanding value and superb overclocking features, and stability, sure you might get some quirks, but what board does not. Don't be put off by the competitive Epox pricing

You might want to have a look at the
    K8N Neo2 Platinum
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=607

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=43033

Another great board, but has a few quirks, have no idea where to get 2nd hand, I picked up my last one from retekdirect £40 a few months ago

you might want to have a look at the Asrock AR-939DUAL-SATA2 ULi M1695, S939, AGP / PCI-Express

    Thanks a lot Max Tractor!

@MantisCSS: Thanks, looks good! - But is PCI-E I need AGP

I use 3 PCI ports... and 1 has to be sacrificed for the graphics card (big heatsink fan), so need more than 3.
Edit: Nope I use 2... forgot I got rid of the TV card!

I'd have to back Mantis up on this one. Asus make the best mobo's imo.

I have a AGP graphics card and I can't afford to upgrade it yet, so I need an AGP mobo.

    Thanks

I've found 2 much cheaper ones (used but working), so I may be going for a K8n Neo2 Platinum.
