    New Summer Rig :-D!

O.K so my exams are near all over and i will soon get a job for even more funds ! I need help selecting a few things to upgrade, as i want to have pretty much everything here for when the exams finish so i can start building!
I don't know what mobo to buy, should i go socket 939? Everyone is saying to wait to Conroe but i don't reckon i will be able to afford this and when it comes out it will be ridicously overpriced and i would not even go near it for a few months to wait for it to come down. So atm i am leaning towards getting a san diego 3700 on offer at tekheads atm
    http://www.tekheads.co.uk/files/site...hotoffers.html
And pretty much decided on getting a hiper 580w blue PSU and a thermaltake tsunami dream case!
Does anyone have any other ideas of a rig for me, and how much i will get for things in my current one as i will need to sell parts off to fund this new one
    Thanks!

    Edit : Whoohooo 500th post!

won't let me choose an avatar... ah well. Basically for AM2 you're RAM is useless. I only did base component upgrades here assuming you already have case, hdd, windows, dvd drive, etc.

lol! Is it not better staying AGP rather than PCI-E? Or is all the AM2 based mobos PCI-E? Is there not some with both options so that i could still run my current card for a while, as GPU will probably be the last thing i buy and will want to keep it running with one of my cards. How much do you think i could raise selling my CPU, mobo, Ram, and graphics card then (GPU has unlocked pipes and clocked at 490/890). There's noway i could afford that expensive one though
Do you think it's worthwhile updating my hard drive, as i don't reckon it would make much of a difference speedwise and it would be alot of hassle transferring everything
Is the AM2 far superior to the socket 939? As many people have this on here...AM2 is only new isn't it?
Yeh avatar not working here either, leave it a day until systems updat probably

If you don't want to ditch AGP yet, but want to upgrade to 939 then you can still get an NForce 3 board. Will just mean you'll have to buy a new motherboard when you want to switch to PCI-E.
