Ive got a 400w PSU but im not sure if it will be ideal for the spec. Its a sumvision model. Also, i dont need a keyboard and mouse and i might be able to get a case for free of my mate so how could i tweak the same spec but taking the above in mind?

Also, anybody know about the sound problem?

    thanks

    James

You could always get a slightly faster processor

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=401096

The 3200 for example, but the best advice is to get a good psu, as gav has already stated, perhaps another stick of ram, or two sticks of 1gig instead of 2x512

If you are looking for a bigger increase in performance, get the dual core

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=401099

But then it is about £100 more, but it will make quite a difference!

I'm completely with gav get good quality PSU as must, it is one of the few items that should never be economised on. To be quite honest the kind of systems being recommended could easily be powered by a high quality 350w PSU.

Avoid sumvision like the plauge the build quality is barely better than q-tec, they do however make nice fireworks.

dell now often do systems that are unbeatable - just go for a 5 or 9000 series so graphics can be upgraded. been 400 pound systems that included a 19" tft. search at google uk for dell bargain codes - even 5% cashback via quidco.
