Does anyone know if the IBM T40 laptops have the Windows key? I can't find any decent pictures of the keyboards to see if that's the case.
TIA

T20's 30's and 40's do not have the windows key.
just checked them all personally, and they don't.
T41 doesn't appear to either.
The rumour was IBM wouldn't align themselves to MS so never put a windows key on and "never will".
not sure what happens now they have sold the desktop business.
It is Inevitable.....
They sold the laptop business as well. Lenovo are now putting Windows keys on the "IBM" laptops now but I wasn't sure about those that were just a few years old hence my query.

you can use an IBM tool to map the alt-gr key to the winkey. very useful (typed on a work t40)
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
The IBM T40 on which I type this message has no Windows key...
However, I've just received an email from work telling me I'm shortly getting a new laptop - w00t! (so that's another cheap one you'll see on eBay soon...)
The reason was asking was cause there are quite a few T40s on eBay for stupid money and I'd love one. So why didn't IBM stick a bleeding Windows key on them?!?!? Grrrrrr.....

It's a hassle. I've used an IBM laptop for quite a while and loathed the lack of Windows key. Personal preference!
