    Toshiba spares

My laptop (Toshiba A100 Portege) is on the blink. On bootup - even with a knoppix CD I just get 00s of '2's. I think it probably needs a new keyboard. I've only managed to find one site selling spares, and it's 65 quid (!) for a replacement.

Does anyone know any Toshiba suppliers, or even if there's an OEM replacement?

    Cheers...

    Tom

uk spares supplier is hugh symons in poole - but you may find 65 quid is about right there are ebay sellers who break laptops.

but its often just the membrane/ribbon cable coming loose - would be worth removing keyb check connection and refit?

Yeah, popped up the key, cleaned it, and it's still a problem, then I popped the ribbon cable out, gave it a quick clean, and pushed it back in. Still the same problem. With the ribbon cable undone, I get nothing outputted, so that rules out anything else.

    Cheers anyway....

You could try Higrade (www.higrade.com) we use them at work for our laptops.
