I have heard that antec are the best about at the moment. As it is a good brand, 350watt should be good. maybe a little bit tight depending if you are running lots of hard drives, overclocking and what have you.
Althought i cant speak from experience, as I have a 450watt Levicom which does the job nicely. Im sure there will be lots of people with this PSU.

It will have to run standard stuff - 1 hard drive, 1 CD Writer, 1 DVD drive, 1 graphics card, several fans, etc. No 12 hard drive racks, or anything.
I think I'll get one. Decent price, very reliable and it glows blue as well.
Yep Antec 350W should easily be better than many 400W PSUs. You may also want to consider alternatives though, esp CWT at Scan which are believed to effectively be rebadged Antecs ... £25ish 350W, £35ish 450W IIRC. Other good brands are Enermax, ThermalTake, ToPower, S.Flower (TTGI) and Sparkle. Although they're all good they aren't quite all equal, see how prices are anyway. A good branded 350W should be more than fine, 400W+ for a little extra peace of mind and future-proofing.

I like the PSU calculator but it's VERY important to rem that how a manu arrives at their rated wattage can vary ... dramaticly with the less/un-known brands. In most cases a good branded 350W is much better than generic 400-550W PSUs ... not only in that they can supply better, cleaner voltage but even supply higher wattage. A generic PSU may claim 400W but it may not be able to reach that amount outside of a perfect world, and certainly not without risking the innards of your PC. A good brand of PSU should be able to sustain clean power at its maximum long term (ie not for 1-2 secs) and very often they can go a smidge above too. They also tend to have additional safety features such as auto shutoff. If you have a PC, protect it.

Can anyone shed anymore light on what austin was saying about CWT being rebadged Antecs, is this confirmed if so that would be quite a substantial saving for a quality PSU with the reliabilty of Antec ?

Seems to be more rumour than anything else. However people have bought CWT and they seem very good PSUs and certainly look like an Antec from what I've heard. I believe it's also been confirmed that CWT actually make (or have a hand in making) Antec PSUs. Hopefully someone can confirm this and ideally give feedback on CWT PSUs.
