Strange lines on games with SLi

anybody got any idea what these lines are about? there are 2 vertical lines on the left side of the screen, and in the middle is a green block that changes size within the two vertical lines... but it only appears on games, and if i turn SLi off they seem to disappear... any ideas?

Ok, I might be completely off the mark but isn't that just a visualisation (sp?) of how the SLi is working? A visual marker of what card is outputting what when it is in the mode that one card produces the bottom half and the other the top half?

Yeh, nothing to do with temperature/artifacting/anything like that.
The green bar just shows the load balancing between GPUs, and as Clunk says, you can turn it off in the Nvidia control panel applet
