widescreen or not

ok, i want to get myself a nice 20" lcd but i dont know whether to bother getting a widescreen display or stick with 4:3.

What do you people think, is it worth it? Are there many game titles that support widescreen out there ( i know battlefiled 2 doesn`t and this is the game i play most), Lastly will i notice any difference between the 2 formats.

Opinions please.

Battlefield does support it with a hack, most new games coming out do support widescreen.

There are many comments saying that once you go widescreen, you cant go back. I cant comment on this but it sounds good.

Go widescreen, I have a 19" widescreen at work but not at home and I so much prefer the work screen. Good for movies too.

You will notice the difference, you have a wider field of vision with a widescreen (about 20% I think).
It might take some getting used to, and it's personal preference more than anything really, but I'm one of those that wouldn't change back.

Got a 20" dell widescreen and my mate got one about 5 months after me. We both love them at 1680x1050 goodness and I can watch my fav tv episodes and surf the net at the same time. Plus play games in Widescreen HD and it's amazing!

As they say: Once you go wide theres no going back (crap i know but hey got my point across)

Barker, there are some issues with that monitor, blacklight bleed and the DVI port dying. I orderd one and I can write a review when it comes, Check this thread though.

For the price, that monitor is really good.

Very very good monitor, the best out of the 20inch range.

But the most expensive.

The VX2025 is good if your on a budget and looking for a nice all round panel.

Theres a guide, you want either a P- MVA panel or the better S-IPS panel.
