    hd question

    hi guys wat it is is that iv got a hd on my comp (second 1) thats got a 10gb on it but according to my comp its only a 3.99gb how dos that work out lol if u know plz tell me or do u think i need a new 1 if i do plz give me some suggestions on any gd hds and a website if possible were there quite cheep as i crnt realy afford a realy expensive top range thing if u know wat i meen ta again

    It could be that only a 4 gig partition has been set up, leaving the other 6 gig as unpartioned (free and useless space).
    What OS are you using? Is there anything on the drive? If not, you can edit the partition to give you a single 10gig volume if that's what you'd prefer. Otherwise you can create a 6gig partition.
    And please, please, use punctuation at the very least .

    well i dont know were to start.
    for starters wats os please i might be able to tell you if i know.
    and how can i tell if it is partitioned as my girlfreinds comp is and thats got a separate section under drives for it lol.

    its ok now guys thanx for the help ( komodo dragon it was much appretiated ) i had a memmory hole in my hd so i hav got a new 1 now thanx again
