OK I've managed to get it to 2.59ghz as stable (but going to run more tests now to make sure).

So If I got faster RAM... say PC3200, I'd be able to push it even futher?

If u want to clock 1:1 then yes.. if you're running on a divider, it really is up to the limit of the board and the chip itself as setting a divider theoretically leaves the memory limit out of the equation..

However, I have experienced the problems with dividers when a board hits higher HTT.. For VIA K8T800Pro's example.. when running a 333MHz divider, the system crashes for no reason when u get pass 260MHz.. I am sure my memory can hit 230MHz no problems with loose timings 3-3-3-11 with enough juice, but the system wouldnt stay stable even at 216MHz under the 333MHz divider.. It might be a problem with the HTT multi as well, as VIA has been known to have dubious 3x multi.. Lowering the divider down to 266MHz tho gets my chip much higher to around 285MHz.. after which the VIA's chipset reaches an absolute ceiling... 2x 1x HT doesnt help.. extra volts didnt either..

Could you explain a bit more by what you mean by 'setting a divider'?

I could boot up at CPU FSB frequency at 240mhz, but Super PI wouldn't work properly, at 235 it's fine - that's how I was measuring stabability anyway..
