    Which printer? help!

    Hello,

I'm looking to buy a high-quality inkjet photo printer. I recently had a Epson D88, but something happened to it, and now I don't have it.

I would like something that has a quality of AT LEAST the D88, and have £70 max to spend. I have never been an expert in printers, to be honest, so this is why I have to ask around.

    Thanks!!!

Couldn't recommend a specific model, but I've always used HP printers and they're solid. And I hear Epson are a bit dodgy with their ink so I'd try and avoid getting another...

At least one of the Canon printers (search these forums) throws up a message if you use rebranded cartridges to say the warranty will be void unless you switch to original ones.

I wouldn't want to buy a Canon because of the above.

Well none of the manufacturers like you using rebranded ink because firstly, thats where they make all their money (like with games consoles, the games make the money the actual consoles are sold at a loss).

Secondly they are worried someone elses ink wont be of a decent quality and they will have to pick up the pieces if you ruin your printer.

Id say Canon are ok to go for, HP i can definately recommend. Makes like Lexmark arent quite so good at the cheap printers though. Oh and ive also had very bad experiences with Epson.
