Have you checked if the X1300 actually draws more power than the 9550? It might not as it is much more modern technology, so will be more efficient.

It does depend what other componets you have installed, but a 250 watt PSU will be dicey for any system, I would plan on replacing it with a better one sometime soon. If it is holding back another upgrade then now would be a good time.

If you have a top quality PSU (shuttle for example) it should be OK, but if it is a low cost £10 or free with a cheap case PSU then I would definitely replace it soon because it will be providing noisy power and might blow up taking expensive componets with it.

Just put your spec in here: http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp & with an X1300pro it recons 210w, with a 9500/9600 it recons 194w.

This is without any usb devices plugged in but allowing 2 sticks of RAM (you did not say how much your using)

From this it looks like the X1300 pulls about 16w more than the 9550.

If it is a decent PSu you sould have no worries with either of them.

As long as it's a decent make PSU it'll be fine with that card, no worries.
