Unknown Device? (little yellow ! symbol) for your Asus A8N-mobo

    Hi guys,

Just in case anyo of you with an Asus A8N- whatever model get a little PCI "Unknown Device" icon showing in System Manager, that you just cannot find a driver for....

It's the AI (auto overclocking) software that Asus puts on it's driver disk that's needed.

    Or...as I do...just ignore it!

I am NOT a fan of extra software that I don't need, and having spent over 6 weks with my new RAID PC, with this little icon showing, it came around to my new Raptor going in and I thought "I'll nail this little git once and for all"

A lot of Googling and I found the answer....it's cos I didn't install the AI NOS stuff!

    Hope that helps someone!

Just to follow on from Zak...
It's an ATK something utility (at work and can't remember the name off the top of my head).
You don't need to install the AI Booster software to get Windows to recognise the thing...just extract the files from the AIBoost software and point it to the driver file.
    Should take care of that
Edit: Off the top of my head it's an ATK0110 ACPI driver utility (used for changing the fsb/multiplier under windows for AI Booster).

Alternatively, you can use the files off the original MB driver CD:
The device driver for Win2K/XP is located on the CD at: 'D:\Software\AIBooster\Acpi\WIN2000\ATK2000.inf'
