Whoops! I just realised that I'd forgotten to plug in my water pump for my W/C X2 3800+ for an hour or two :shocked2: although it was strange, no crashes and was happily humming away at 45°C! :lol:
Thank goodness it wasn't a hot day and I didn't fry anything *phew*!
lol it was probs acting a heat sink or osmehtign! probs find u turn it on and ur temps go up now! :P
Provided you've got enough airflow most systems can run without the pump provided you aren't doing anything too fancy.

I must admit I keep wanting to upgrade to a newer asetek pump with all the fancy software monitoring/flow rate control just so that i could get the thing to shutdown if it boots up without a pump running!
Well to try and counteract my forgetfulness, I previously bought a OneClick power strip to make sure that the pump automatically turned on when the PC did - although in this case because my PC's still in bits it's actually plugged into a "normal" power strip - doh!
Hey - yeah i got one of those too - but i use it to turn off/on everything in the room when the computer switches off/on to save power etc. Very good it is too - although a bit pricey i thought. My pump is controlled via a relay which is thrown when the pc powers up.Quote:
