    NF7s V2 + XP-m2800+

    Morning All

I've had the above motherboard for a while now, spare not doing anything... So ive been buying the odd bit here and there to put a system together for a server role. I got the above chip on ebay for £40 new which i didnt think was a bad price?!

My question is, has anyone had the above combo and does it work together OK? Also, is there anything i will need to do to the motherboard to get it working, or will it work straight outta the box?

    Cheers

    Scott

I used to run pretty much the same setup and it works really well. The XPM overclocks very well as it's a standard XP validated to run stable and lower voltages (meaning it's a cherry picked cpu). If you're not overclocking you might want to run it at lower voltages but tbh it doesn't really matter.

    Hey

Thanks for the reply, i doubt i will overclock as its just going to be a server to hold a couple of TB worth of hard drives i have. Im putting it with a Zalman cooler (so hard to get SoA coolers these days) so if its that low voltage, im hoping it will be nice and cool!

All i need now is a PSU and a Case, then im sorted
