    W-MCE video problem

    Hey everyone,
I've recently purchased W-MCE along with a Silverstone LC17, and hooked it up to my Hyundai 32" LCD TV.

I have a Terratec DVB-T 1400 PCI tv tuner, and there seems to only be one set of drivers on their website.

In WMCE when I go to live TV, it says there is a video problem, please restart the computer.
Same when I go to play a video.

I used the WMCE drivers for my video card, and downloaded all the windows updates. No help.

It is able to detect all the channels on the TV card, it just can't play anything! Is it possible there is some codec missing or something? I don't need to install like Win-DVD to get Mpeg support do I?

    Any help appreciated.

Yup, you need an MPEG-2 codec - nVidia PureVideo, PowerDVD or WinDVD (all need your monies unless you have them) or a free alternative such as FFDSHOW.

    B'oh!

I only have about 10 copies of PowerDVD and WinDVD from all the bundled software packages with hardware I've bought... *waits to get home*

I wouldn't have thought this would be necesary to watch TV on WMCE, I thought it would be able to decode standard MPEG, or the Tuner would do it, or something... hmm....

OK, so Power-DVD 6 'for WinMCE' did the trick allowing video to work, but it's stuttery at best!

Every 2 seconds it pauses for half a second. I put it split screen on my LCD TV against my budget Freeview box, and the freeview box blows it away!

Any suggestions for the stuttering? I used the ATI MCE drivers, but I could try reinstalling. The CPU is running at 30-50% load, and memory is no-where near full. I'll check where it's storing temp data, but I'm sure that's fine too.

Seems SATA and PCI share, and I use a PCI Wifi card too... am I blocking up the PCI bus with too much stuff?
