    Exclamation Just went pop

Well, I have just been playing Titan Quest and I got that sickening pop sound of something going wrong electrical coming from the PC.

I opened the case and can smell the horrid electrical burn smell but for some bizarre reason (thanfully also) everything is working just fine.

When I opened up inside it was extremely hot, so left the case open to let it all cool and fitted my twin fan exhaust to try and keep temps down. Think I need to move the PC down to floor level as it is getting really warm in the house.

Hope it was just some dust or something creating a spark and I have got away with it.

You'll probably find that you've blown a chip/capacitor, and you probably wont notice it. Best thing to do is to turn off, take appart and check it inch by inch under a decent light. My pc went pop once...it fried the firewire chip and it cracked and well needless to say firewire and the pc didn't work.

I'm quite thankful the PC is working just fine.

Going to strip it down in the morning and see if I can find something. I think it may have been something in the PSU
