    New PSU?

    Hi All,
I think my PSU is giving up the ghost. It doesn't like powering graphics cards on the GPU rails any more, and now a high pitched whistling has started coming from my motherboard. I need to power:

2x beefy GPUs (just about to drop in a 2nd 7900GT)
    1x mobo, cpu, ram
2x HDDs (may drop in a couple more at a later date)
Lots of 120mm fans (currently 6 on the rad) + 2 in the case
    Water pump
    DVD
    X-Fi Fatal1ty
    TV Tuner PCI card

What would you guys recommend? Ideally it'd be as quiet as possible.

Is there any general wiring guide? Is there any reason I can't power all the fans/pump from a single molex connector? Is there a max / molex?

    Cheers...

    Tom

    Tagaon Easycon 580W?

I've got the 530W and its holding my Pentium D 920 (Very power hungry) rig with 5 HDDs pretty fine. Got 6x 8cm fan in there.

Those wires can hold up a few amps without problem. Though I would recommend putting the pump on one wire and all the fans on another.

I've got all 5 hdds getting power from the same wire and they're fine.

    A Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 perhaps?
It's quiet and has enough wattage to power your beast, and the reason why you can't power all your fans and the pump from a single molex connector is because each rail can only deliver a certian amount of amperage.

I thought issues had been resolved? The thread has been locked so can't see what the latest is.

Supposedly it's sorted but hasn't stopped seasonic issues cropping up. there are plenty of other good psu's about so it's not something i'd risk.
