    Cheap 939 boards

I need a new mobo as the one currently in my main pc has died and is now refusing to post, this after it frequently used to hang on post, have tried all the normal reset cmos mess about with RAM socets.etc but it is dead.

I am therefore looking to get a good reliable cheap socket 939 mobo and would like some recomendations from what you guys have experienced. I do not need overclocking options as the most cpu intensive stuff is a spot of rendering in Bryce which is quick enough anyway.

Due to a comical mod to my graphics card cooler I need the PCI-E 16x slot to be at the very top of the set of slots and there to be a standard PCI slotat the bottom. I know this is normal but I have seen a couple [Abit I think] where there are a couple of 1x PCI-Eslots above the 16x, I would npot have enough space with this.

    Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for the idea and that is one board I was looking at I have the problem with that board that there are 2 1x PCI-E slots above the 16xslot, this would not leave enough space for my stupid graphics card cooler and soundcard.

On another note what is it that I am stpidly doing when I start threads that rates them with a tick.

Agreed. PCIex16 is the top slot. There are (at least, I can't remember exactly how many) 3x PCI at the bottom.
