using my tv card remote

hello peeps

today i bought a leadtek DTV1000T tv card as i am putting together a htpc anyway my question is i am going to give GB-PVR a try and maybe later getting a copy of MCE and was wondering if the leadtek remote can be used to go through the GB-PVR/MCE menus or does it only work with the leadtek software?

I just built myself a media centre PC, but I wouldn't call myself an expert on it by any stretch of the imagination.

I was trying to find a way of getting the remote that came with my Hauppauge HVR-1100 to work with MCE, and came across this little app called HIP on my travels.

I haven't actually tried using it myself.....I chickened out in the end and bought an official remote off eBay for £20, as I thought I'd rather just front the money that spend hours arseing around and gettinhg nowhere, but you might have some fun with it
