Memory speed on Abit NF9 (Nforce 570)
Bit of a noob question on AM2 / nforce 570 so please bear with me...
I've had fun and games installing windows XP today on a new AM2-based system I've put together.
Random "missing files from CD" and BSOD.
Turns out that the memory I've put in is 667MHz stuff, and with the SPD timings the motherboard has been running it at 667.
I've throttled it down to 400MHz and it's stable.
Is this normal?
Edit: Just saw the review on hexus. Looks like I'm having trouble with 667 when the review talks about troubles at 800.
Mods, could you please edit the title to reflect correct mobo model number, i.e. KN9 SLI Thanks!
