    Pentium D 9xx Load temperature?

Spent the morning re-paste the Arctic Silver 5 on my Pentium D 920. It actually got hotter as I still need to wait for the AS5 to sit in.

Summer is bad for overclocking My overclocking is down to 3.95Ghz and temperature still sitting at 68'C even with all fans running at maximum.

I might need to consider replacing my CNPS9500-AT with another heatsink.

Please share your experience if you got a PD9xx processor

TDP of the processor can be calculated with the PSU calculator from here: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp

I calculated the TDP of my processor and use the temperature diff between motherboard and CPU as temperature delta. Giving me a TDP of 147W and C'/W of 0.19

I'm just wondering if my heatsink is broken or something else, consider the thermal resistance of my CNPS9500-AT is 0.12C'/W. Might be the IHS so I want to see if everyone's getting high temperature too.

    Cheers
    Arthur
