    Smile New laptop, 1500 budget**

    Hi all,
Im in the market for a new laptop, budget of 1500 sterling.
Need it for a bit of gaming "Oblivion " but I travel quite alot so I need something that isnt bulky, must also look nice...
Iv been thinking about the Apple Macbook Pro since you can now install windows on them...
It is quite thin, and it has a ATI 1600 pro GPU. any good??

Yes, but it weighs in at 5.1kg for the machine alone; way too bulky.

Samsung have some pretty good core duos:

    One's a Mobility X1600, the other's a 7600 Go.

HP also do a nice looking X1600-equipped one:

    Weighs in at 2.7kg.

The big D do the Inspiron 9400 (the 6400's lighter but has NO graphics horsepower; best you can get is an X1300), but it weighs in at 3.6kg including 17" WXGA+ display, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, and 6-cell Li-Ion battery. That said, you can up the graphics to a 7900, and that could be a critical factor for you. If you DO go the Dell route, I'd advise bumping the memory to 2GB, but from, say, Crucial.
