Graphics card advice, with watercooling in mind

Howdy, some of you might of noticed my absence of late, its getting used to a new rather 'challenging' job.

But however I'm now able to get myself a new graphics card for my desktop, i was thinking a 7950, anyone know what these are like for water cooling, quick googling brings up a lot of speculation about future products but not much thats concreate.

Also my motherboard is compatable with it (X6DA8-G2) which makes it a very attractive card, espesually as they're floating round at £350.

anyone know anything about watercooling em, anyone got any other sugestions?

I like the idea of quad-sli as a future, as i'm very tempted by a 30" tft, so high resolution would be rather nice for gaming.

    Damn ..
That sounds like a nice system youve got there.. well make sure you have good cpu and ram to go with that awesome video card for gaming..
I havent heard of anyone overclocking that card because nvidia had to Underclock it for it to work so .....
I wouldnt go for that card to be honest..I would go with a 7900 gtx if your going to watercool it , you could get it up to some v high clockspeeds even though the default ones are fast enough.. Then in the future pick up another one and run in SLI..

Or you could go the ati way and wait for the ati x1950 xt which sounds real sweet ...imo better than any nvidia card out , but im an ati guy..

the only reason i was thinking jump right in on a 7950, is i plan to go for a 3007WFP by xmas. Is a 7900GTX really enough?

As for memory, well its not really *that* good with memory, because i have to use ECC. This box is a compramise between reliabilty, speed, noise. As such theirs no CPU overclocking!

Joke is now i'm working 'hard enough' to afford these toys, i get in and after gym its normally pass out, sometimes i've enough energy to make supper! let alone play with these things... oh well thats why there is weekends

There are a couple of options I know of for water-cooling a 7950:
    aqua-computer (available now).
Club3d has announced a block which will probably be available next month.

And no, I don't think a single 7900GTX will really be enough for a 3007WFP. Huge-res displays like that are the principal rationale for dual GPUs :/.

that aqua computer link looks very tasty, but I think i might hold off two months, see what peoples experiance is of these a little more, whilst i doubt the price will drop much i've not even finished un packing!

I don'y really think one 7900GTX is enough to play at 1920 x 1200. Games like Oblivion stretch the card too much and you have to play on a lower res
