You agree to it in the EULA when you install software :s
and try software forum ;) :)
I agree.. but then spamming is illegal and it doesnt seem to stop anyone!
uhm i dont install it.. it "filters stealth-like" onto my PC.
Ezula
C2.Lop
Alexa
Gator
Fastclick
Comet Cursors
I dont download any of those... im a competant I.T. technition..i avoid crap like that
Its also in actual applications you install not just off the web.
Whats a good program to search and remove any spyware? Something thats updated alot would be nice :)
spybot and adaware are ok
Yeah, sadly you tend to agree to them in the EULA. There are some that you don't, but then they become a virus/malware.
Most spyware is legal, and plays on the fact that nobody reads the EULA (and who would? - it's pages of twaddle that's hard to comprehend.)
Stuff like PSP7 and OfficeXP dont have this kinda crap and niether does most the other stuff I use.
Norton
WinDVD
Nero
etc
... its total BS... make it illegal i say!
Yeah, but the point is that it makes some software free, Kazaa and GetRight and such programs wouldnt make any sense to be free if they werent ad-supported. True, its very annoying, but you cant always expect something for nothing!
nope, and ultimately if its in the EULA, would a bit of spyware really stop you using the program if you REALLY had to?
it is stupid and the more bad press it gets the better in my opinion, the worst thing being some programs not loading when you delete their spyware .dll's. I was a very norty boy and I promise not to do it again, it only goes and opens a port to the internet!! (though it didn't seem to do anything else.) i mean how bad is that for that type of prog :( got two reg hacks now, does the same job, and smaller i have no doubt.

There aren't any adds in it, definitely not ....
I thought it was just supported by registrations ?
After version 4.3 getright doesnt have any in.
Still Flashget is far better :)
My bad! I got rid of getright ages ago when it used to have ads in... never really looked at it again! Oh well!
